What to wear in between seasons: How to dress when it's hot during the day and cold at night.

🌤️ What is in-between seasons and why is it so difficult to dress for them?

The transitional seasons are that time of year, like spring or autumn, when the weather seems to have a "dual personality": cold mornings, warm afternoons, and cool nights. And it's precisely this variability that often plays tricks on us and causes the typical colds or flu due to temperature changes.

🧥 The key is in the layers

Dressing in layers is the best strategy. It allows you to adapt to the weather throughout the day without being exposed to excessive cold or heat. A good combination would be:

- Breathable cotton t-shirt

- Light shirt or blouse (that you can take off)

- Short jacket or cardigan.

- Wear breathable cotton socks.

- Thin scarf (easy to store)

👟 And what about footwear?

Transitional footwear must meet three conditions:

1. Comfort for walking during the day. Example: Oriocx Azores model

2. Breathability to prevent excessive sweating. Also, Azores by Oriocx

3. Partial or total coverage to protect from the night cold.

Some ideal options:

- Urban sneakers made of canvas or breathable leather.

- Loafers or "slip-on" style shoes with a cushioned insole.

- Low ankle boots with flexible soles and lightweight materials.

- Casual athletic shoes with good support.

💡 Tip: Avoid open sandals or very closed shoes made of synthetic materials. Always look for a balance between ventilation and protection.

🍋 Avoid colds by taking care of these details

- Don't go out without something to cover your neck (even a pashmina).

- Change your shoes if it rained the day before.

- Always carry an extra layer in your bag or backpack.

- Stay well hydrated throughout the day, even if you are not thirsty.
