Running for those who cannot is a solidarity initiative that promotes the visibility, inclusion and normalization of rare and mental illnesses through sport.
Aim
To raise awareness of rare and mental illnesses, sensitizing society to their impact, and to support the families affected by them through sporting challenges and solidarity actions that promote inclusion and raise funds to cover therapies, treatments and other essential daily needs.
How do they do it?
Solidarity challenges: days of up to six hours of running without rest to raise funds through bibs and solidarity products.
TV interviews: participation in the La Rioja Television program (TVR) with elite athletes to raise awareness of these diseases and share inspiring stories.
Path
In its first year, Running for Those Who Can't has grown thanks to the support of volunteers and collaborators who accompany each challenge. They have traveled to different parts of Spain and even reached Portugal, with the goal of continuing to expand their reach and help more people every day.
